The Kanooka Chapter with the Georgia Council of TU is devoted to conserving, protecting and restoring Georgia's trout fisheries through youth education, stream improvement/watershed protection, and membership participation.
Our July Meeting
July 13, 2009 at 7:00pm
Our next regularly scheduled meeting was for July 6. Because this is the Monday following the July 4th weekend we agreed at our last meeting we would postpone this meeting to July 13. The location and starting time have not changed.
Our speakers will be Trout Camp campers and mentors discussing the weeks adventures and activities. Please come and support our campers as they discuss all they learned and did at camp this year.
See you on Monday, July 13 @ 7:00 pm at the Centerville Community Center.

Lending a helping hand to North Georgia’s brook trout streams
The Oconee River, Foothills and Kanooka Chapters of Trout Unlimited plan a July 11th workday onthe Chattahoochee River headwaters...
Join us on July 11, 2009 to build stream structures on a wild brook trout section of the Upper Chattahoochee River. This project is part of the Georgia Trout Unlimited Back-the-Brookie program supporting the USFWS Eastern Brook Trout Joint Venture.
Meet at the Upper Chattahoochee campground in the Chattahoochee National Forest just north of Helen, GA.
Lunch will be provided.
