Welcome to the Kanooka Chapter of Trout Unlimited

The Kanooka Chapter is part of the Georgia Council of Trout Unlimited and is devoted to conserving, protecting and restoring Georgia's Trout fisheries through adult and youth education, stream improvement / watershed protection and membership participation. The Kanooka Chapter covers Gwinnett, Dekalb, Rockdale and Newton counties. Our chapter is a member of the national Trout Unlimited organization with more than 150,000 members organized into 400 chapters from Maine to Alaska.

  • We meet the first Tuesday of the month at the Centerville Library at 3025 Bethany Church Rd. Snellville, GA. Our meetings are 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Tony Kearns is our 2012 President. Please join us for our next chapter meeting on April 3, 2012 at 7:00 PM.
  • Our chapter is actively involved in various conservation activities of the Georgia Council of Trout Unlimited and other water and wildlife conservation groups in the Atlanta metro area. Our next conservation activity is the Sweep the Hooch event on April 14, 2012. The Oconee River TU chapter and Kanooka TU will be a site host at the Settles Bridge location.
